DROWNING

Since it seems we’re on a water safety kick with lots of discussion this past week, we can’t forget to talk about dry drowning.

Please note this happens VERY rarely, but it is something you should be aware of and watch out for.

After Benny’s near-drowning accident, we took him to the local fire station to get his lungs checked for any fluid as he was a bit lethargic.

Normally this is something I could have done at home with my own stethoscope, but I was shaken and didn’t want to rely on my own ears for peace of mind. The fire station is a great option (less of a wait + free) to have them check out their lungs if you are nervous.

I hope you find this helpful and if so, don’t forget to share with the ones you love! Stay safe, friends!
