Chlorine will affect different people in different ways. This will depend on personal factors as well as chlorinated levels, whether kids use pool daily etc. If your kiddos are very sensitive, consider taking all of these steps. If not, consider implementing 1 or 2 in order to reduce their overall exposure.
🌿Pre shower
showering before jumping into a pool is imp because it ⬇️the amount of foreign chemicals like makeup, sunscreen, sweat etc you bring into the pool.
🌿Get oiled up- Apply a thin layer of natural oil (i.e. avocado, almond, jojoba, argan, or coconut oil) to skin to form a skin barrier that will prevents the amount of chlorinated water your skin and hair can absorb ( only recommend for indoor pools - otherwise careful with sun burns)
🌿Goggles
Goggles protect your eyes from the drying effects of chlorine.
🌿Pool etiquette
Remind kids not to drink pool water & use the bathroom before going into pool. If its a long pool session consider scheduling a bathroom break or two
🌿Post pool shower

🌿Finishing spray
Both ascorbic acid & sodium ascorbate (two common forms of vitamin C) will neutralize chlorine.
Bring an 8oz bottle of water with a tsp of sodium ascorbate & shake well. After swimming dump over your hair & body after showering or bring a spray container & spray liberally
