✨ RWK Diaper Rating Guide ✨

Never be afraid to change your opinion based on new information learned — that’s my motto for this account. And some of you have been kind enough to let me know about certain ingredients or manufacturing processes changing with some of the old top-rated diapers. So I've revamped the guide and included a few additional brands.

I didn't have @kudostobaby listed on our previous guide (they're a relatively new brand in the baby space) but they take the cake by a mile when it comes to top-of-the-line low-tox diapers for your little one. They've found a way to make the top sheet (in contact with baby's bottom) out of 100% US-sourced cotton. I have yet to find any other international brands that match the quality of their raw materials, their engineering process, and their testing and transparency. I reached out to them to see if they could offer a discount for you guys so you can use WELLFAM on first orders! Many of the other brands can be found at Walmart / target / amazon / or directly through their website (I’ve tagged most of them in the respective slides).

So if you've got little ones still in diapers, I hope you find this post helpful! Save for later or share it with a friend!

Babies use a lot of diapers; somewhere between 2,500–3,000 diapers in their 1st year of life!⁣
Ideally, for environmental & toxicity reasons, we would use reusable diapers … however that is not always possible for many reasons.  ⁣

The reality is that most babies today will use disposable diapers, either full-time or part time.  So here is what to look for in the ‘best’ disposable diapers:⁣

1️⃣Specify they are phthalate free⁣
Phthalates have been found in diapers ( study deets jn blog post) Very few diapers are transparent about phthalate testing,  however these are so harmful to our health that I consider phthalate testing & transparency one of the most important ‘deal breakers’ when choosing a diaper today.⁣
2️⃣Free of fragrance & lotions⁣
3️⃣Either Elementally Chlorine Free (ECF) or Totally Chlorine Free (TCF).⁣
4️⃣Low amount of petroleum-derived plastic : diapers made of cotton, bamboo & other plant based plastics vs 100% petroleum based plastic. ⁣

𝗧𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝟭⁣
My top picks. 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗴 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁 ( via link in Instagram bio) for all the details including how they compare in price! They are here because :⁣
🌿transparent: they share their phthalate testing &/or they have Oeko Tex Standard 100 certification ⁣
🌿are mostly or partially made with non petroleum based plastics⁣
🌿Contain no fragrance nor lotions ⁣

𝗧𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝟮⁣
The main difference between T1 & T2 is : the amount of petroleum derived plastic components & the fact they do not share their phthalate testing &/or do not have third party certification⁣

𝗧𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝟯⁣
SIMILAR to T2, these companies claim to be phthalate free, but do not provide testing for us to review, nor do they have independent certifications that require phthalate testing.  They are (mostly) at a better price point. Unlike T2, these diapers are made with only (petroleum based)plastics & some elements that could potentially lead allergies (lotions, plastics etc) ⁣

💚𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗴 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁! ( 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗯𝗶𝗼) 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀 𝗣𝗟𝗨𝗦 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀! 💚⁣
