PLACENTA/PLACENTA ENCAPSULATION
Anyone else done placenta encapsulation?
With my first: born at hospital - did encapsulation
With my second: did a placenta smoothie (no…it’s not just placenta 😅) immediately after birth and did encapsulation
With my third: I haven’t totally made up my mind but thinking I will do placenta smoothie and save to make tincture or plant in garden ☺️
if you saw me post about placentas recently it was to share that your placenta is not something that you just want to give up and surrender to a red biohazard bag at the hospital 😩
There’s actually major science around consuming the placenta. In China, mothers have engaged in placenta consumption for thousands of years. It was meant to help them regain their energy, stamina and boost milk supply. It contains oxytocin, a hormone that reduces pain and increase is bonding with baby. It also contains thyroid stimulating hormone, interferon and prolactin, which can boost the immune system, energy, recovery, and milk supply.
interestingly, humans are one of the only mammals on earth who don’t eat their placentas after giving birth. Some worry that the placenta filters blood to remove toxins and so that it would be dangerous to consume but just as babies waste is carried back through the placenta to be filtered by the mothers body, so too are the toxins from her blood returned to her to be processed and released by other organs. While some heavy metals may build up in the placenta, it is no more than what is also found in the mothers colostrum or breastmilk .
more research in my stories but share and tag with a friend! What’s your experience? I know some have negative experiences- I have mostly seen and heard positive!
