WHAT’S IN MY MEDICINE CABINET
Recently I asked for feedback on Instagram and someone said they wanted to see what was in my medicine cabinet so so that’s what I’m sharing today! This was a great question and I needed to go through and clean things up so thank you to the person who asked!
This is what my medicine cabinet looks like. It’s nothing fancy but I do have things pretty well organized which makes things nice when you’re sick and don’t want to dig! I keep most of the items in lazy Susan containers & the other plastic bins have bandaids/alcohol pads.
The one thing I don’t have well organized is all of my homeopathy. That’s on my to-do list! If you have not yet gotten into homeopathy I highly recommend checking it out! It’s one more tool to have in your toolbox for all sorts of health related issues.
From L to R— Camilia homeopathic teething tincture— perfect for a teething baby!
Hydrogen Peroxide— this is pretty self-explanatory and should be a staple for everyone
Saline— I use saline packets in our nebulizer
Frida Baby- I really like this in addition to a traditional nebulizer
These cough drops are my favorite! You can buy them in stores if you need them quickly- I have found them at Walgreens.
I talk about Earthley all the time and it’s because we love their tinctures! These are some of our favorites. Not pictured is their pain relief tincture and it’s because I carry it in my purse. I use it for headaches and it works so well! You can shop Earthley through my link here.
I cannot recommend this enough! We take this at the first sign of sickness.
Spoiler: you do NOT have to take a whole tube at once like the instructions say. This will make it last longer. :) I love that this is also being sold in mainstream stores as well these days.
If you are prone to tummy bugs then keep this on hand. It can be taken and it helps bind to all the yuck and helps it exit your body. You can take it as a capsule or break it open and mix it in food/drink for small kids.
If you have young kiddos then this is a must! Mullein oil can be used internally (if eardrum is NOT ruptured and no tubes in ears) to help when there is drainage to help prevent ear infections.
These are all items I use for when we have colds/snot. The Hyland’s remedies have been really helpful with both kiddos and Payson LOVES the Beekeepers Natural spray.
The Biocidin spray works great as well but fair warning- it tastes pretty bad!
These are what I use for scrapes/cuts/diaper rash. I love all of these and use them often with little ones running around.
The active skin repair comes in a spray and a gel- both work great and are the same formula.
A few more items from Earthley!
The No More Yeast Salve is used by many for cradle cap in babies.
We love the Frida Baby thermometer the best because it can be used multiple ways.
& I would highly suggest having a pulse ox on hand as well!
I do not care what anyone says- this is the BEST snot sucker! It beats the Frida and electric one we have. It is easy to clean (the top just pops off) & the tip is small enough to get in the tiniest of baby noses. We use this often.
This is not something I would use daily (despite what the label says) but I have it on hand should I need something strong. Silver can work really well but we don’t want to overdo it.
The last two items wouldn’t be considered “crunchy” but there is a time and place for more modern meds!
I keep these on hand for emergency allergic reactions. There is another version by Genexa but this is just what I grabbed to have at my local store and it is dye free which for me is fine since it’s only for emergency use.
& lastly I have these two. I do NOT treat fevers with these (or anything else honestly) unless it is SEVERE. I have only had to use Tylenol 1 time and it was 11:00 at night and Corey had to go to the store to buy it in a rush. Motrin I’ve used a handful of times.
If not treating fevers is a new concept to you feel free to reach out! I do not recommend using these often in most instances but I do not think it does anyone any good to not have them on hand should you need them as well. There are cleaner versions as well but again these are dye free which for me is fine since it’s not something I use often and I mostly want to avoid the dyes.
I hope this post was helpful! If you need help or want to know how I use anything specifically please feel free to reach out.
Many of these items can be bought through my Fullscript dispensary here.
